The ROV has proven its ease of use, durability and
versatility in missions around the globe. From water tanks to arctic seas, getting into tight places that are inaccessible to divers. ROV units are deployed rapidly to record the underwater world.

Dock Wall Inspection
The ROV is small enough and with the ease of mobilisation can be deployed out of a vehicle. Ideal for harbour and Dock wall inspections. Inspecting for Damaged block work or build up of debris. Also dropped or lost objects. Can perform a pre dive survey both for safety and work requirments.

Marine Insurance Investigations
The ROV can assist in the cause of incident/accident of ship/boat damage. Also where a vessel has sunk can help in the investigation towards any fraudulent claims.

Ship Hull Inspections
The ROV can be used to carry out Ship/Boat hull inspections in view to the ships licence. The inspecting officer can see in real time any damage or item that may affect the issue of the licence.

Chemical and Industrial Fire Water Storage Tanks
The ROV has been used in the inspection of large Fire water storage tanks used in fire suppression systems. As this would be classed as a confined access for personel and the fire pumps and water storage shut down. The ROV can carry out a video inspection with the on site engineer or fire officer whilst keeping the facility on line.

Water Tower Inspection
Due to the very nature of the structure the ROV can be lifted up to the water storage facility with ease, where it can then be deployed into the tower to carry out the inspection. This also causes no contamination to the water as it is electric driven. The Tower can be left on line or valve isolations put in place. The ROV can also be used in the same way with fresh water underground storage facilities.

Police Search & Recovery
The ROV has also been used in contracts with the Police Underwater Search and recovery Teams. Even in Low visibility with the aid of Sonar can reveal targets and fine detail with out agitating sediments or destroying vital evidence.

Teams involved:
• North West Underwater Search Division
• West Yorkshire Police
• Avon & Summerset Police
• Humberside Police
• Northern Constabularies

Oil and Gas Industry Offshore
Cost effective, ease of mobilisation either by ship or helicopter to the installation. Quick mobilisation once on site.

TV News
Sky News have also used the ROV for underwater documentries.

Safety Aid
In general the ROV can also be used as a saftey aid whilst diving operations are been carried out, to monitor the divers for any hazards they may encounter, or work along side divers to pre inspect areas potentially dangerous for divers to enter.

Well Head & Pressure Vessel Leak Detection Inspection
UnderWater Visual Services carry out pressure testing and leak detection inspection on well heads and pressure vessels. Cameron Oil and Tools division Leeds.

Other Equipment
Equipment also used with the ROV is Scanning Sonar for bad visibility and target acquisition. Other equipment used by UVS is side scan sonar for shallow water use with GPS positioning and coastal navigation.
